I tried restoring in itunes the normal way, but oh my, would take a couple of minutes and it would say 'the iphone couldnt be restored. So at this point I thought well its better to restore so I can have a 4.1 functionable iphone than a 4.1 jailbroken beta or whatever but not functionable.
Did the same thing, took like 5 minutes and same error would show up, couldnt downgrade. So I tried with 4.0, same thing happened files found, all was looking good. So basically I couldnt downgrade with 4.0.1 EVEN THO it said files found. I downloaded tiny umbrella to downgrade, I already had the 4.0 and 4.0.1 firmwares downloaded, I first try to do it with the 4.0.1 and umbrella said that the files were loaded succesfully or something like that, meaning yes, I could do it, I followed the instructions, looks like it was working but it was taking forever to restore when i was in the shift click part.
